Cookie policy
Learn which cookies we use on our site, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser when you visit a website. Cookies are used to make the site function properly, remember your preferences, and improve your experience.
2. Types of cookies we use
- Essential/functional cookies: Required to run the site's core functions (session management, remembering your cookie choice, live chat support); cannot be turned off.
- Analytics cookies: Help us understand visitor numbers and site usage; only activated with your consent.
- Marketing/third-party cookies: We do not currently use third-party marketing cookies on our site; this page will be updated if that changes.
3. Essential and functional cookies
- Admin session cookie: Securely maintains the session of users signed in to the admin panel.
- Cookie preference record (respongo_cookie_consent): Remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner in your browser so you are not asked again on every visit.
- JivoChat live chat: Used by JivoChat to power the live chat widget in the bottom-right corner; treated as a functional/support tool and remains active even if you choose "Essential Only".
4. Analytics cookies
Tools such as Google Analytics (GA4) may collect statistical information such as which pages are visited, time on page, and general usage trends. These cookies are only activated once you select "Accept" in the cookie banner (Google Consent Mode).
5. Third-party cookies
Third-party service providers such as JivoChat (live chat) may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies. Respongo is not responsible for the cookie practices of these providers.
6. Managing your cookie preferences
- You can choose "Accept" or "Essential Only" from the cookie banner shown on your first visit to our site.
- You can delete existing cookies and block new ones from being stored through your browser settings. In that case, some parts of the site may not work as expected.
7. Retention periods
Your cookie preference is stored in your browser and remains valid until you change it or clear your browser data. The retention period for analytics cookies is governed by the relevant provider's own policies (e.g., Google).
